What does the Omega hallmark stand for on Gold Jewelery ?
I have a 14ct gold ring, it is hallmarked 585 followed by the omega sign in a diamond shape. Does anyone know what it means ?
.585 is the digital fraction for 14/24, 14 carat.
Usually extra characters are alloy codes, but your omega in a diamond sound like a trade mark.
